Disclaimers, Details, and all the Ins and Outs of What I Do Here...

Just a quick note-

My plan is to totally write about the things I enjoy here, like feminine fashion and beauty tips. But occasionally I will do a post with a quick "here's an outfit" and maybe a blurb about why I chose what I chose and such. I'll call tag these posts with "look book" for those who want to cut to the chase and look at clothes. ;)

Also, if there are fashion/beauty related questions that you'd like my take on, please feel free to contact me and ask. Those of you who have followed me on Facebook or know me personally know that I am more than happy to answer questions or offer advice where I can. If I don't know the answer, I'll tell you…but I'm also someone who'll try to point you to someone who will have the answer. So, please, feel free to comment or contact me with questions or suggestions of what you'd love to see more of.

I will from time to time do a review or share a product that I love. I will not endorse any product or company that I don't like just because they gave me something to try. I'll always give you my honest opinion on whether or not something worked for me. If you have a business related to the themes of this blog and would like to have your product featured, contact me for how to go about that.

One thing I do want to make clear. This is MY blog. So, I make the rules. I'd hesitated to even dip my toe back into the "modest" fashion world because, let's face it, it can be a vicious place. If you don't think my standards are up to snuff, that is your opinion that you are entitled to. But, I'm not interested in constant lectures about skirt lengths, or who wears leggings, and how someone once wore something that didn't quite meet everyone's modesty standards. Standards are a personal thing. If I happen to wear something you dislike, that's cool, keep scrolling. If you decide my style is not your cup of tea, then that's cool, too. What's not cool is bringing negativity or meanness to my place. I follow a friend of mine's example who runs a modesty group on Facebook: always give the benefit of the doubt, and put kindness about criticism. I may wear something you don't like, and that really is ok. I don't always give my stamp of approval to everything I see either. ;)

Now that that little tidbit of ugliness is out of the way, I am so looking forward to sharing something I enjoy with the world. To me, fashion is a form of creativity. I like to express who I am and how I feel in the clothes that I wear, and the way I put it all together. I do my own thing, and don't really care much for what is in "style" or fads. Sometimes I accidentally stumble into a trend, and happen to be on the same page with the fashion world for a moment. Sometimes I am way off in left field doing my own little happy thing. But my style is exactly that- my style.

I'm looking forward to this fun little endeavor! I have an exciting photographer that I have been working with and I cannot wait to showcase some of her work. I've also been stretching my wings a bit by playing with some colors and accessories that are out of the box a bit, but I have learned that I do like a little eccentric fun now and then.

So, with all that being said, I am so glad y'all have stopped by my little corner of this big wide Internet, and I look forward to sharing and creating with the many amazing people out there.

Much Love!,
Anna Elizabeth
